Universities in Ontario invest over $2 billion per year in research. Yet so little comes to market.

Traditional start-up investment, following a venture capital model, has proven to be inefficient and closes the doors to the multiple market possibilities for a new invention. Its focus on deal flow and rapid exits is not aligned with the interests of innovators or investors. It simply isn’t working.

That’s why we created inventureLab, adopting aspects of a start-up, incubator, fund and venture capitalist and in doing so creating something new, a platform for commercialization and effecting change.

We passionately believe in the power of ideas to effect change, and the power of inventureLab to accelerate it. It is a transformative approach.
